Clean drinking water now: Freshwater placard event (Christchurch)

Come put your art skills to the test with other Greenpeace volunteers. We are starting to make placards in the lead up to the upcoming Environment Canterbury local body elections in a few months, which we will distribute to households to put on their fences or place in front of their properties.
💧 Help us placard the region demanding clean drinking water now!
💧 We will provide the materials and stencils.
💧 Wear clothes you don't mind getting paint on and close toed shoes.

Canterbury is a hot spot for nitrate contamination in drinking water due to dairy pollution. But instead of taking action on nitrate contamination, Environment Canterbury has approved several new dairy expansions this year, which risks this crisis getting even worse.
We’ve already seen what dairy expansion does - unswimmable rivers and water that’s unsafe to drink. Let’s send a clear message to Environment Canterbury that they must protect people’s drinking water, reduce nitrate contamination at its source and halt any further dairy expansion, now.
