Something in the Water is a new documentary that follows the work of people from across the region who are taking action to defend fresh water. We all should be able to safely drink the water coming out of the kitchen tap, but right now many in Canterbury can't do that without fear of getting sick from nitrate contamination. This is a story about how everyday people are standing up for their access to safe healthy drinking water, and swimmable lakes and rivers.

These local elections are a pivotal moment for Canterbury - we have the opportunity to vote for councillors who will take action to protect the lakes, rivers, and drinking water we all depend on. Stick around after the screening to hear from local Environment Canterbury candidates about how they're going to take action to protect fresh water - and ask them any questions you might have!
