Greenpeace's "the Bomb and the Boat" Film Screening

Join us at the Greenpeace warehouse for a screening of “the Bomb and the Boat” documentary. This film was made to mark the 20th anniversary of the bombing of the Greenpeace flagship, the Rainbow Warrior, by agents of the French government in Auckland Harbour, New Zealand. On the night of July 10 1985 the Rainbow Warrior had been docked in harbour for three days while preparations for the protest voyage to the nuclear test site at Moruroa Atoll were finalised. Just before midnight two bombs exploded, sinking the ship and killing cameraman Fernando Pereira.

We will have a brief discussion afterwards about the upcoming ship visit to mark the 40th anniversary.

Doors open at 6 PM. There will be light snacks provided. The warehouse is accessible.
