MARCH FOR NATURE: HANDS OFF CONSERVATION LAND

At 1pm, Saturday 19 September, people from across Aotearoa will take to the streets of Auckland for the March for Nature.

We’re marching because even the places we thought were untouchable are now under threat. The Conservation Amendment Bill would open up public conservation land — land that is supposed to be protected for nature — to greater commercial exploitation. This is a line that cannot be crossed.

And it comes after almost three years of the Coalition Government weakening protections for our forests, rivers, oceans, climate and wildlife.

We’ll march to protect public conservation land and the oceans, rivers, forests and wildlife of Aotearoa. And we’ll send a message to every political party this election year: nature should be protected, not exploited.
