Protect Hector's: Ōtautahi
No dolphin should be killed by drowning by the fishing industry. Hector's dolphins need our help.
Join us for an action in memory of the at least 17 Hector's dolphins killed across New Zealand, most of them on the East Coast around Canterbury, since October 2023.
We'll assemble near the New Brighton pier and then proceed down to the beach for an installation honouring those dead dolphins, to raise awareness of the need for more protection. Be a Dolphin Defender, help protect Hector's.
If you'd like to volunteer and be part of a procession taking the dolphins to the beach, please meet us at 8.30, for the set up from 9am.
