Show Your Heart for the Hauraki: Flotilla & Beach Activities 🛥️💙

Join us for a day of unity, aroha and care for the precious life in the waters of the Hauraki Gulf!
It’s time to stand together for Tīkapa Moana, the Hauraki Gulf.
Please register your boat for the flotilla here!
If you want to join us on the beach or be kept informed about the event fill in the form on the right.

Despite a massive public mandate, the government continues to allow bottom trawlers to bulldoze the seafloor of this precious Marine Park.

On April 11 (weather date April 18), we’re sending an unmissable message to politicians in this election year: Ban bottom trawling now.

Join us for a powerful show of unity.
A fleet of boats will sail from Okahu Bay to Oneroa, joining the crowd for a day of joyful celebration, aroha, and protest.

Environmental organisations, local iwi, and the community will be on site to share the work they do for Tīkapa Moana and offer ways for everyone to be involved and contribute with the health of this blue backyard.

Whether you’re on a boat, a kayak, or joining us on the sand, your presence matters.

The Programme in Brief:
📍 In the morning, the Flotilla departs from Okahu Bay arriving at Oneroa Bay at 12:00pm
📍 Beach Activities at Oneroa, Waiheke (Music, BBQ, Speeches, Face Painting, Kites) from 1:00 PM
📍 We will send a powerful message of unity to politicians from the beach!

Help us deploy a massive 20m x 5m floating banner in the bay with a strong message calling for a ban on bottom trawling in the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park.
And you can help flood the notifications of every MP seeking your
vote this year!

Whether you have a boat, a kayak, or just a pair of jandals for the beach,
join in any way you can to help show our collective force.
