Advance screening: Something in the water

A new feature-length Greenpeace documentary about the state of freshwater in Waitaha/Canterbury.

The story of the state of freshwater in Canterbury through film. We speak to people from all across the region about their experiences with the lakes and rivers that the region is so famous for.

Environment Canterbury has a responsibility to protect freshwater. But despite this, nitrate contamination is only getting worse in Canterbury.

We met people who couldn’t drink the water coming out of their kitchen tap, heard testimony from Ngāi Tuahuriri elders and others from across the Waitaha about the degradation of rivers near them that has occurred during their lifetimes, and interviewed people who have been campaigning to protect fresh water for many years.

We’re looking forward to seeing you at this special advance screening of our documentary - reserve your free tickets now.
